Eye I cufflinks by Justine Austen

Eye I cufflinks by Justine Austen in sterling silver featuring Hazel German glass dolls eyes
$440
In-store or online

Justine Austen graduated from Gold & Silversmithing with honours from Monash University in 1998 and attained a fellowship from the gemmological Association of Australia in 2004. Working as a contemporary jeweller and miniature sculpture artist Justine creates exhibition pieces, commissions and a number of limited production ranges sold through various galleries nationally. Balancing somewhere between fine art and kitsch Justine’s creations seem quirky, play-full, absurd and offbeat. The transformation of somewhat random objects and materials into new works dictates the technique, depending on the piece and the envisioned outcome. Her style is graphic, using a simple and strong visual, icongraphic language that she has developed drawing on historical and modern elements and references.

Cufflinks No. 6 by Youssef Tayeb

Cufflinks No. 6 in 3D printed, bronze plated stainless steel by Youssef Tayeb
$250
In-store or online

Melbourne based and Melbourne designed, Side Project One is a jewellery collection created by myself, Youssef Tayeb. As a freelance Industrial Designer by trade, these unique pieces draw on my expertise in the field of rapid product prototyping.

Coupling digital modelling with additive manufacturing processes (3d printing) allowed me to produce intricate, geometrically driven forms, adapted to a wearable medium.

Produced in limited edition runs and hand finished in a tiny studio, these pieces explore my relationship with design and craft, intent and outcome, the hand and the machine.

Bunny I pendant by Zachary Frankel

Bunny I with bent ear pendant in gold plated sterling silver by Zachary Frankel
$120
In-store or online

My jewellery is largely sculptural, I like things with form and texture. I also like to put a little bit of humour into the objects, I prefer jewellery that doesn't take itself too seriously. I mainly work with silver because of its lustre and the way silver changes with age and the wearer. I guess I am intrigued by the way that jewellery interacts with the owner/wearer after it has left my hands, that it takes on another life and could become anything from an heirloom, to discarded.
