In his spare time, Lord Coconut owner Mark Boldiston, sits on the Board of the charity Artists for Kids Culture which is running its annual art auction on Sunday 14th October 2012.
This year they are also running a Live Art Challenge where two artists go head to head in producing the best portrait of our special guest. This event occyurs on Thursday 11th October 2012.

These ‘Tea Towel Landscapes’ are constructed from vintage Australian tourist tea towels, collected from op shops around the Western District of Victoria. The composition is put together and machine embroidered with a felt backing to produce the finished piece. It is important the tea towels are ‘used’ to show the history of the item, which is up-cycled to represent a new version of Australiana.

Erica Fisers is a design graduate with an eye for detail. Her work has been shown in a number of exhibits and she has been a finalist in the BMDI ‘Touch of Red’ art competition.
The Anatomy series was inspired by vintage educational flashcards from Erica’s childhood, and her daughter’s fascination of the human body.
