Melissa Baldock is a contemporary silversmith and jewellery artist with a studio located on my 50 acre property in the village of Snug in Southern Tasmania.
I work predominantly in sterling silver for the way it catches the light and makes for an impressive contrast of dark and light in shadow. Tiny silhouettes from nature are found in many of my designs. The images change and evolve to nurture the aesthetics as each piece is in creation to form a unique, one-off piece.
My style is delicate, elegant and strong. I usually look to the natural environment for my inspiration which I see as an unlimited source of natural beauty and ideas.
